Stokke Sleepi Crib Review

Totally disappointed with this purchase. We accepted the high purchase price because we thought it would even out in the long run as is "grew" with our child, but we'll be getting rid of it before we even get to the toddler stage of the bed where you take one of the sides out.

It was great as a bassinet, but expanding it to the next larger size was quite a mean feat. The holes were juuust enough off that getting the screws in required literally pushing the frame with all your might against a wall to further bend the wood into place to get the oval frame together. Once that was complete the bottom support that holds the mattress wasn't even long enough to be secured to the frame on both ends so it was like having a diving board on one end. Our babies leg could have easily gotten caught, but we jammed this gap with pillows, toys, etc. One of the wheels also kept coming loose and falling off. We screwed it back on several times, but it is now stripped, so we have resorted to propping the bed up on that side with books.

I could make a few other points, but this bed has wasted enough of my time and money. Just wanted to warn other parents not to bother. Nice design in theory. Too bad it's so poorly executed.

Stretch the Giraffe Review

I bought `Mr. Stretch' several weeks ago to lively up the play mat for the now 4 month old I take care of. Her play mat was so boring and dull (it's by Carter's, the absolute worst play mat around, the colors are completely blah and non-exciting). I was going to go purchase `Hal the Horse', I recently bought that Lamaze toy for my 4-month-old cousin Isabel and she loves HIM. But when I saw Stretch, I fell in love with him and so did Hayley once I put her on the mat to play. She will play on there for a good hour, grabbing his legs and screaming with joy. The colors are just wonderful for her to look at, he has wonderful textures on both his legs and feet. She loves feeling all the ribbons around his feet, she just thinks he's the best! He's a definite winner and it stimulated her so much that she rolled over! She was determined to get to him and she did! Now she rolls over non-stop! Very highly recommended on my list (and the Tiny Love Gymini play mats are the best on the market if your shopping for one, definite no to Carter's or any of the others).

Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Musical Activity Mirror Review

I bought this toy for my six week old baby. She's too little to really care about toys, but she loves to look at the colorful blinking lights and seems to enjoy the music. She lays on her tummy and spends good 10-15 minutes being entertained with this toy. I think that it's quite a miracle that anything can hold her attention that long. Pretty soon, she'll start enjoying the mirror too. I like that this toy uses normal batteries, as I found out that lots of toys use of this type use non-replacable batteries.

Stokke Sleepi Crib Finish: White Review

I bought the sleepi system and was very excited after reading many positive reviews.We put the bassinet together and quickly realized that the mattress was far too small.After looking online I found out that the mattresses had been recalled.I had to HOUND (around 15 phone calls and twenty emails) them for a proper mattress.I finally received the bassinet mattress after a few months. They promised to send a new crib mattress when they got them in stock.When I hadn't received a new one a few weeks after they told me to expect it, I contacted the representative I had been corresponding with via email.I then received an email stating that she would be "out of the office" until February.This is when I found out that they have removed their telephone number from their website.I have now gotten word that I must send them a picture of the crib and ill fitting mattress in order to get a safe one.The problem is, that would require me taking the bassinet apart in order to put a crib together that I won't need for a few months.The serial number of the mattress is listed as recalled and the won;t send me a new one without photo evidence. What would I get out of lying about it?What a pain.

BOTTOM LINE: Your baby's safety is of utmost importance...but not to this company.Terrible customer service.Just terrible.I think of my interaction with them as a second job.It requires that much effort and causes undue frustration.The crib itself is kinda cool but NOT WORTH THE EXPENSE (financial or time).

Alex Toys Jr. Busy Blankie Lion Review

My 5 month old seem to enjoy feeling this square and rubbing it against her face.I've washed it 4-5 times so far and it's held up.However, one of the knots came undone, but it is easily retied, and really not a big deal if left undone.It's very colorful and the different textures are nice.

I like this more than the Taggies square.

My 22 month old girl received this for Christmas and when I first purchased it, I was a bit skeptical of the quality considering it's inexpensive price tag.But when my husband pulled it out of the box and put it together, I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it was and at all the cute accessory pieces that come with it...you just can't go wrong with this nursery center.My daughter really loves it and plays with it every day.The little high chair and mobile do come off easily but are also easily reattached.It provides everything a little baby doll needs...a place to sleep (my little one uses it as a changing table too!), a little tub, a feeding area, and lots of accessories.If you're considering buying this,I recommend it. Hasbro Playskool Let's Play Together Sing Along Spider Review

I got this toy from a friend for my twin baby girls (6 mos) and they absolutely loves it! It plays the classic Itsy Bitsy Spider song and has all different textures for their little hands to manipulate.
The mirror is perfect for them to see themselves in and I love that the mirror flap lifts up so we can play peekaboo together- a new playtime favorite of ours.
Also, it comes with a smaller spider that you can attach to anything (we have ours on their carseat) and it's a great little playpiece with bright colors and perfectly sized for them.
Overall- very cute toy, simple classic play and I can sing to my babies and teach them colors, numbers, textures, the works!

Princess Alexa Crib with Sheer Canopy, Mobile and Wand Review

This crib is adorable, but there are a few things I think would have made it even better:
1. I wish it came with a blanket and pillow. It does have a thin pad in the bottom to lay the doll on, but it would've been nicer if it also had a blanket and pillow that matched. (Now I have to make them myself and they won't be a perfect match.)
2. I WISH it could rock! This will be a Christmas gift for my daughter and I have waffled over returning it and buying a cradle instead just because I know my daughter would LOVE it if she could rock the baby to sleep in it. (I'm keeping it since it matches the doll and since it is so cute...so now I'm brainstorming how I can add to it to make it rock without making it look ugly!:))
3. I wish it were a few inches longer. Princess Alexa is a 16" doll and she just barely fits in it, with no room to spare. It would be better if the interior length was at least 18" long.

Fisher-Price Miracles Milestone Play Center Review

My daughter is 7 months old and really likes this toy.There are plenty of buttons and items to play with.My only complaint is that it is just a bit too noisy, even on the quieter setting, when I try to use it to settle her in her crib for a nap or bedtime.Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars.

Taggies See Me Rattle - Yellow Review

My soon-to-be 4 month old finds this toy very entertaining.He seems to like that there are so many different places to grasp.The smiley side of the rattle is really cute and I like how all the tags have different textures and patterns.The mirror, however, is pretty bad.While I appreciate that it's not something that would ever break or be dangerous, the reflective quality is so poor I almost hesitate to call it a mirror.It portrays a very warped image.I don't even think my son recognizes it as a reflection instead he just enjoys seeing something shiny.

Galt Activity Dino Review

My daughter Nicole got this from her godmother, she was about six months, so anyway... she liked it because of the color and stuff and we mostly used it for support -since she kept falling backwards- then when she was a couple of months older she would used it as a pillow (a rather tall one) to rest her head on while watching t.v, and when it was time to take a nap she loved to curl into a fetal position and place her back against it (she still does this, while sucking her thumb)she liked it so much we tried to put it in her crib, but found it too big. Now we've had it for some time and kept it in a corner of the living room, so she could get it when she wanted to watched t.v. One of these days I heard her giggle through the baby monitor and went to check on her, I found her rolling around the floor with it hugged tightly against her, then she placed herself on top of it and sit back and rode it as a horsie... a few days after I found her asleep on top of it, with her thumb in her mouth and her legs streched back and crossed together. She likes this thing so much she won't use anything else to watch t.v or take a nap with, almost everytime we get home the first thing she does is run to it, pull it to the middle of the room and just have fun.It's really amazing -to me anyway- how she hasn't ger tired of it.
The only thing is that sometimes when it's time to go to bed at night she wants to sleep either on top or with it, and she's always saying "no, mama, no!" when I trie to take her upstairs for bedtime OR she says "no, daddy, no" in the most sweetest of voices, with her big blue eyes puppy-stile and a pout and my husband gives right up and lets her have it her way.
But I don't think that's such a bad thing cause she's a heavy sleeper and she doesn't wake up when we take her to her room. Nothing more to say except... I ADORE THIS FREAKING TOY, and more important, SHE ADORES IT EVEN MORE.

Carters Monkey Snuggle Buddy Blanket, Blue Review

A friend of mine bought this in a store for my son when I first found out I was pregnant.My son is now 11 weeks old and he loves it!He holds it and chews on it.He can't hold onto much yet, but this he can.He smiles as soon as he sees it!I actually bought this one in order to have a second one around the house.The only downside is it is not as washable as I would expect for a baby item.The tag says to hand wash.Now that I have a backup I'm going to throw the first one in the washer anyway and see what happens.

Precious Moments Prayer Pal - Boy in Pajamas Review

We got one of these for my son when he was born - he just turned 5 and the batteries finally gave out so we had to replace it (my 3.5 yr old has his own).It is an important part of our bedtime routine and even travels with us so it can "watch over" my son while he sleeps.I wouldn't recommend it as a toy, since squeezing it illicits the prayer.

We took my 4 year old daughter to Wal Mart today to spend some of her Christmas money and she picked out this set, along with the

I have always had positive experiences with Fisher Price and these have made no exception, very durable and well made.The box says that they are suitable for ages 2 and up but I think a 1 year old could play with this as well since the pieces not so small that a little one could choke on it. This is the first time I have ever seen these Snap n Style sets, and I think they are a great idea seeing that it is hard for my daughter (ormyself for that matter) to change Barbie and Polly Pocket doll clothes. With these you just "snap" on the outfits and it is very simple. We will definately be buying some more of the "Fisher Price Snap n' Style Friends" to add to the collection. I would recommend this toy to anyone.

Sage Luxe Baby Blanket Review

I registered for and recieved this blanket and loved the softness but after the very first wash the satin trim fell off and began to fall apart in numerous places due to poor stitching. I thought that it might be an isolated incident but was disappointed twice with the same problem. So, if you plan on buying one of these, I highly recommend that you carefully inspect the seam around the trim because ALL of them at the store would have posed the same problem. For twenty dollars, I shouldn't have to worry about sewing it myself. Poor quality, one star.

Taggies Chime Giraffe Review

Munchkin Crib Light Accessory Review

We bought this crib light, despite reviews that it goes through batteries quickly.Unfortunately, those reviews were right.It eats batteries WAAAY too quickly - as in, it didn't last a month with very light use.The sounds and lights are captivating, and the voice-activated mode is handy, but having to unattach the thing all the time just to change the batteries (yet AGAIN) became a nuisance.Now it's just a non-functioning white box on our baby's crib.For "womb sounds", we just place a windup clock in the crib since it's the repetitive "white noise" that comforts the baby, rather than any electronic mother's heartbeat.I would have been better off spending my money on a musical mobile to hang.

my favorite new gift for babies and All small children.

My three year old Eliza recently began going to bed by herself at night and was feeling afraid even though we had a night light plugged in near her bed.Last month I introduced her "Beddy Bear" and she has been mesmerized by it ever since.With a little tap on its belly she can turn the light on whenever she wants, and then fall asleep watching it gently change colors from pink to green to blue and purple.The only drawback is that sometimes she falls asleep with it on and I have to remember to come in and turn it off.It runs on three double AA batteries and so far I have not had to replace them .

Sassy Smile Baby Talking Camera Review

We got this camera for my 6 month old for Christmas. He really enjoyed playing with it. But the orange paint on the button at the top started chipping off just two days after Christmas. The paint chips off very easily. It comes off in small flecks with light rubbing. That's definitely not a good feature for babies who like to put everything in their mouths. So we had to trash an otherwise entertaining toy. Stay away from this toy.

My daughter received this as a gift for her birthday when she turned 1 year old.I thought it was a little strange at first and I wasn't quite sure if my little girl would like it, but boy did she prove me wrong!She LOVES this toy!!!When she first played with it, it took her a very short amount time to get the hang of it and quickly learned where the buttons are that make the music go... now sheeven presses the little buttons that change the modes on her own!Other reviewers complain about how small the button area is... my daughter doesn't have a problem with it and neither do I.It teaches your baby to be persistent and keep trying and once they "get it", it's second-nature, like riding a bike.I don't agree with the age range for this toy- I think it is much too advanced for a 3 month old- I would recommend this toy for age ranges beginning at 6 or 9 months, depending on the baby.This toy doesn't just teach numbers and counting, it also has several different modes which include colors and two different music modes.I would recommend this toy to anyone!

Fisher Price Perfectly Pink Mobile Review

This is the perfect mobile for a little girl, my daughter loves it.I love the fact that when she out grows the mobile you can turn it into a table lamp for her room. The only flaw, but i still give it 5 stars because it is just sooo cute is the motor that turns it is a little loud, just a little bit, but overall great buy.
