I bought this for my first son, he'll be 2 in September. And he falls asleep with it every night. The only thing is that after awhile, the motor that makes the fish go round gets really loud...so we cut it out. Batteries last alot longer now too. YOu can adjust the volume, we have it on the lowest setting and it plays long enough for him to fall asleep. I cannot find another soother that I like for my next baby...due in 2 weeks, so I may buy this again.But not for the price listed...I bought this one for $35 in 07 so I wouldnt pay more than that now.
