Totally disappointed with this purchase. We accepted the high purchase price because we thought it would even out in the long run as is "grew" with our child, but we'll be getting rid of it before we even get to the toddler stage of the bed where you take one of the sides out. It was great as a bassinet, but expanding it to the next larger size was quite a mean feat. The holes were juuust enough off that getting the screws in required literally pushing the frame with all your might against a wall to further bend the wood into place to get the oval frame together. Once that was complete the bottom support that holds the mattress wasn't even long enough to be secured to the frame on both ends so it was like having a diving board on one end. Our babies leg could have easily gotten caught, but we jammed this gap with pillows, toys, etc. One of the wheels also kept coming loose and falling off. We screwed it back on several times, but it is now stripped, so we have resorted to propping the bed up on that side with books.
I could make a few other points, but this bed has wasted enough of my time and money. Just wanted to warn other parents not to bother. Nice design in theory. Too bad it's so poorly executed.
