LeapFrog Baby Counting Pal™ Plush Review

My daughter received this as a gift for her birthday when she turned 1 year old.I thought it was a little strange at first and I wasn't quite sure if my little girl would like it, but boy did she prove me wrong! She LOVES this toy!!!When she first played with it, it took her a very short amount time to get the hang of it and quickly learned where the buttons are that make the music go... now sheeven presses the little buttons that change the modes on her own!Other reviewers complain about how small the button area is... my daughter doesn't have a problem with it and neither do I.It teaches your baby to be persistent and keep trying and once they "get it", it's second-nature, like riding a bike.I don't agree with the age range for this toy- I think it is much too advanced for a 3 month old- I would recommend this toy for age ranges beginning at 6 or 9 months, depending on the baby. This toy doesn't just teach numbers and counting, it also has several different modes which include colors and two different music modes.I would recommend this toy to anyone!

Manhattan Toy Carousel Activity Toy Review

I purchased this toy base on the 'hide-n-seek' factor. My daughter loves the tethered toys which are just small enough for her little fingers to grasp. It has a noisy/crinkle backing so she also plays with the 'petals' as well. As she loves to pull down her bumper pads to peek out, she was less able to do so with this toy attached to the side of the crib (it is quite large). This is quite an unexpected function which works for me.

Tiny Love Wonder Wheel Review

I wasn't sure whether to give this 3 or 4 stars.I think it would get 3 1/2 if that were an option. Some people may think it is absolutely useless and some may find it to be a lifesaver. My daughter is 15 months and just like a toddler she loves it some days and is indifferent to it others. It has helped get her (and me) through a number of short and long car trips. Now that she is more interested in animals and animal sounds she can be a little more interactive with it.If you are a parent who is easily annoyed by toys with sound, I would not recommend this product...it could drive you nuts in the car.

Yookidoo KaleidoDisk Review

I am surprised there are no reviews for this toy yet, my 8 month old ADORES it. It is very unusual, well designed, and hard to describe! The toy comes with 4 musical "disks", two play soft lullaby musical and two play more updeat tunes. There are also many other features around the base of the toy that would appeal to babies of different ages- levers, knobs, mirrors, squeakers, spinners, lights, balls, etc.

My son heads straight for the toy as soon as he sees it.He uses it in many different ways- he likes to bang the plastic balls together, turn the music on and off with the spinning level, play with the beads, flip the toy over and inspect the inner workings, and also use it as a prop to stand with.It is versitale enough that he seems to continue to find new ways to play with it as he gets older.

For a younger baby the toy can be mounted to a crib and used as a soother, we did not purchase it until he was 5 months old so we never used it this way.It would be a really good buy for parents of a new baby, would definitley get quite a bit of use out of it over the years.

My only concerns have been that he likes to reach in and "stop" the disks while they are spinning and I am worried that might burn out the motor but so far no signs at all of this happening.

Neurosmith Sunshine Symphony Review

This was a gift from a friend and our 8 week old would watch it while we were in the car. He has grown up with it and at 18 months it is still one of his favorite toys. The music is pleasant so it doesn't drive you nuts the way other electronic toys can and our toddler has learned to touch it to keep the music going. He has even increased his fine motor skills by turning the switches on and off in the back. We just bought three more to give out as gifts to our friends that are having babies. This was a great toy.

Baby Einstein Octopus Hanging Toy, Blue Review

We call him Mr. Octopus or Old Blue:) We bought this toy for our daughter when she was just 3 months old, and she has loved it from the instant we showed it to her. She's now 8 months and continues to love this toy. Her whole face lights up when we get him out, or show him to her. She really likes the music and water sounds. She likes to chew on the crinkly legs, or the little rings and chewie that he has attached to him. He's soft and washes off easily. It's a good sized toy also, she can hang on to him and he's not too heavy or awkward. I would buy him again in a heartbeat!

Infantino Sunny Sunshine Review

I bought this for my almost 6mo old when I found her pulling on the characters that hung from her mobile..Clearly, she had outgrown it; but she needed some crib toys to replace it. I like this toy because when Mamma needs to hit the baby snooze button--this is it...I press the face, music starts, she remembers that she has this and another toy in the crib and occupies herself for at least 10min-sometimes she falls back to sleep within the 5min of music it plays. At 4-1/2mo my daughter was pressing the button(attached to crib)to turn on her mobile by herself. Only bumber with this is she can press the face but not turn it on. You have to press firmly, right between the eyes. It's OK because she really loves the ends lighting up and of course she has tasted all of the colorful arms many times over--I know they stimulate her brain too* It would've been nice if there was some sort of volume control on the music(soothing-but same one over & over). I would say-worth it for the price--ideally would've bought it for her when she was younger-at 7mo she just looks at it for a minute-I turn the music on,which she likes-and then it becomes background music for her as she plays with other things.

Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Review

This is a goregous item!I was hesitant to buy it online, so went to Target to see it for myself. You HAVE to push the button to try it before you can really appreciate it. The pictures on the website just don't do it justice.

The lights and motions and sounds that you can't see in pictures are what makes this so special. The lights are bright enough to be really sparkly, but soft, not harsh, amber colored. The movements of the fish and plants are subtle and realistic. The songs and sound effects, several lullabies, bubbles, oceantides and running river are high quality, not high-pitched or tinny. This is soothing, my almost 3 month old likes it and it almost made me fall asleep too.

The remote works well too, which is usually a problem with these types of items. It is super high quality, heavy weight materials.Make sure you don't cut the straps that are to hold it in the crib, as they attach it in the box, and even though there's a big red crossed circle sign telling you not to cut them, it took me a minute to process what it meant, and I was in such a hurry to get this out and working and show the baby that I almost cut them anyway (we parents are programmed to break out the chainsaw to get toys out of their packages these days!)

Really a good value for the money, I am so glad I went to see this and didn't pass it up!You will NOT be disappointed, go ahead and buy it on line if you like the idea and photos, you will LOVE the actual item!

Fisher-Price Precious Planet Kick & Play Piano Review

If I would have made a review about this product when my son was 4months old I would have only gave it a 2 because he would kick but wouldn't seem all that interested. But now that we finally made a move we have started to unpack things and once I found this I gave it to him one morning.Right away he went scooting to it and hitting it.Before I knew it he was SITTING on it.He now LOVES this thing and it will entertain him for quite a bit - which is nice because it has replaced him going for our laptop 100% of the time hah
